This is a very rare book called “Holy Mary”, A prayer and devotional book published in 1864. It is written in German. This book has one of the most unique bindings I have seen… it is wrapped in black leather with a birdseye maple cover, a carved wood crucifix on the front, Red detailed border and silver stud detailing! It also has gold gilt pages with a gauffered edge and a brass clasp! Very unique… this is a one of a kind book… I was not able to find any others even similar to it online for sale. It is in amazing condition for its age! It just has a little bit of cracking to the wood from age over time and a small section of the wood bordering is missing on the back side. But other than that… it has been very well preserved!! There are some gorgeous engravings inside and little details throughout… just a stunning book to have in any rare book collection! I believe this is a masterpiece in itself!
