Antique, Picturesque Europe: A Delineation By Pen & Pencil of The Natural Features and The Picturesque and Historical Places of Great Britain and The Continent. Illustrated on Steel and Wood by European and American Artists. Edited by Bayard Taylor and Published in New York by D. Appleton and Company. This is a huge, full leather set… filled with gorgeous engravings! Absolutely stunning! Overall they are in great condition for their age.. there is some rubbing to the leather on the edges and spine, but the bindings are tight! ✨ Volume 1 (The British Isles): Focuses on scenic and historic locations across England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland—such as Windsor Castle, North Wales, Warwick Castle, and the English Lake District. Volume 2 (The British Isles & Continental Europe): Expanded into the Channel Islands, Normandy, the Italian Lakes, the Alps, Venice, and Spain.
