1774 Letters written by the Late Right Honourable Philip Dormer Stanhope, Earl of Chesterfield, To His Son, Philip Stanhope, Esq. This book was published by Mrs. Eugenia Stanhope from the original letters that were in her possession.
This is a full leather binding, with a gorgeous decorative spine… the pattern looks like snowflakes! The spine looks original and then the covers seem to have been rebound at some point in the 1800s, with calf leather. It can be hard to tell… so whoever did it, was experienced.
This is also an odd volume, from a full set of 4 books… so this is only book number IV.
